We live in a global world: one of its positive characteristics is the possibility to communicate in the same language, which to day is the English one, no doubt. This is also true for the scientific community: a scientific paper must be in English otherwise its resonance will be negligible. Two are the main purposes of The English Section: -To allow young and senior people practice Mathematics in English; -To open this Forum to international contributions, to fruitful relationships and to other cultures.
English forum for maths students
English version The Forum is primarily dedicated to Mathematics, although you can also discuss about any other subject in the section “Generale “(General ).
Large space is dedicated to students, from Junior to High School, up to the University level.
The division in different sections, according to the school level, allows a better handling of the numerous requests for clarifications and explanations.
Students still in process of choosing their University program can find in ”Orientamento Universitario” (Orientation for University) fruitful support and constructive exchange of ideas with professors and college students willing to give advice.
A range of more specific Mathematical topics, nowadays of wide diffusion are discussed in the Forum : “Matematica per l’economia”(Math for Economy) “Teoria dei Giochi “(Game Theory) “Matematica Discreta (e anche Teoria dei Codici, Crittografia) “ (Discrete Mathematics , Code Theory, Cryptography). “Fisica”,”Informatica”,”Chimica “ (Physics, Information Technology,Chemistry) have their space and their fans too. If you are an expert, you can present and discuss your ideas and conjectures in “Congetture e Ricerca Libera”(Conjectures and Research). People fond of the Philosophy of Science can participate to “Filosofia della Scienza “ Those looking for books , notes, or for a friend to study together, should write in “Annunci: cerco ,offro”.(Announcements).
The ludic aspect of Mathematics is covered by ”Giochi Matematici “ (Math Games), a section frequented by participants to Math Olympic Games too.
Chess enthusiasts have the opportunity to play in the site : the Forum “Chess Game Comments “ is available for discussing the games, and everything else going on in the chess world.
Teachers can exchange their experiences in the proper section “Docenti” (Teachers ). “Leggiti questo “(Read this ) is a space useful for posting book and article reviews.
Last, but not least, “The English Corner “. In case you haven’t noticed we live in a global world where English is the most common language. This is even more true for scientific paper, which must be in English to have international visibility. The English Section has two major goals : -To allow practicing Mathematics in English -To open this Forum to fruitful relationships and cultural exchanges with international contributors.
We welcome any suggestion and criticism in ”Il nostro Forum : come si usa e come migliorarlo” (Our Forum : how to use and improve it), to improve and enrich the Forum, as well as the applicable rules .

Presentazione del Forum di Matematicamente
Il Forum è dedicato alla Matematica, ma non solo: quando ci si conosce si parla anche di qualsiasi argomento di attualità , nella sezione “Generale”.
Grande spazio è dato alle parti del Forum dedicate agli studenti, divise in Medie, Superiori e Università per meglio gestire le numerose richieste di supporto e chiarimento.
Gli studenti indecisi su quale Facoltà scegliere trovano in “Orientamento universitario” un valido supporto e un utile scambio di idee tra professori e studenti universitari che li possono così aiutare nella scelta.
Anche aspetti più specialistici della Matematica, ma ormai di ampia diffusione, come : “Matematica per l’economia” “Teoria dei Giochi “ “Matematica discreta” ( ed anche Teoria dei codici, Crittografia, Algebra degli insiemi finiti) trovano la loro collocazione specifica nell’ambito del Forum. “Fisica”, “Informatica”, e “Chimica “ trovano pure il loro spazio e i loro appassionati.
Le persone più esperte possono presentare e discutere le loro idee e supposizioni in “Congettura e Ricerca Libera “.
Per chi ama “volare alto” c’è anche “Filosofia della Scienza”.
Chi cerca un libro, o appunti, o un compagno con cui studiare, scriva in “Annunci : cerco/offro”.
All’aspetto ludico della matematica è dedicato “Giochi matematici “ frequentato anche da partecipanti alle Olimpiadi di Matematica.
Chi invece è appassionato del gioco degli scacchi ha la possibilità di disputare partite nel sito: nel Forum è presente “Chess Game Comments” per discutere di partite, iniziative e quant’altro relativo al mondo degli scacchi.
I docenti possono scambiarsi le loro esperienze e problematiche nella sezione apposita. “Leggiti questo “ è uno spazio per segnalare libri, articoli e scambiare opinioni in merito.
Per accentuare l’importanza della lingua inglese in ambito scientifico/tecnico (e non solo), è presente “The English Corner” in cui si comunica solo in inglese, aperto per sua natura a contributi da persone straniere.
Suggerimenti e critiche dei partecipanti, per migliorarlo e arricchirlo, nonché le regole di comportamento trovano la loro collocazione naturale in “Il nostro Forum: come si usa e come migliorarlo “.
Chi poi, una volta iscritto, vuole presentarsi , trova lo spazio per farlo in “ Presentazioni”.
